Get a respite from the hustle and bustle of city life every once in a while. Break away from stress by pampering yourself to a vacation.
The TAd Marine Resort in Pulau Tinggi, off Mersing, offers one a chance to relax, rejuvenate and recharge.
I was there for three days two nights. It cost me RM589 nett with five meals thrown in. This is only the promotional rate offered in conjunction with the resort's soft opening in March.

I enjoyed exercising my vocal chords at the Sarong KTV lounge and waking up to the lullaby of the sea amid the pulsating rain. I am a big fan of the rain, especially when I'm indoors and it's a holiday and I am on my bed.
The other guests went snorkeling and swimming while some spent their time getting to know the villagers living near the resort. There's a village located right next to the resort called Kampung Pasir Panjang. The villagers were mainly fishermen but fishing is now prohibited after Pulau Tinggi was gazetted as a marine park. For further info, go to the Department of Marine Park Malaysia official website
Come June, the TAd Marine Ocean Spa will open for business and I may want to make another trip there.
It took about two hours of driving from Johor Baru to the Tanjung Leman Jetty where I parked my car. The parking fee was RM4 per day. Then a speedboat picked me and some others up from the jetty. We were scheduled to go in at 1pm but the South China Sea was rather tempermental that day so the boat trip was delayed to 3pm. If there were a bigger group of tourists, the operator would get a ferry and the journey to the island would have been longer.

I went to the TAd Marine Resort website, clicked Contact and called these numbers
ReplyDeleteTel: +607-722 1777, +607-722 1999
The reply was: "Nombor yang anda panggil tidak terdapat dalam perkhidmatan kami" (The number that you called is not in service)
Why spend money to do a website and put up numbers that are not in service!!!
Ya lah. I called another number +603-8023 9009 and also no reply. I called at 12.10pm Saturday. Don't tell me telephone operator/receptionist went out for lunch. How to run resort like this?
ReplyDeleteOk, I too have been trying to call all the above numbers since April 13. I just managed to get someone at +603-8023 9009 today.
ReplyDeleteThe explanation given was the resort is currently facing some problems with Telekom (+607-722 1777, +607-722 1999) and is trying to switch to Maxis but problems persist.
Anyway, the RM589 nett promotion is on until June.
